UNCLAIMED BICYCLES
Conway, SC (October 3, 2007) – The Conway Police Department is in possession of numerous unclaimed bicycles. Any resident who has a bicycle missing or lost may contact Det. Jill Domogauer or Sgt. Tammy Staples at the Conway Police Department. Both officers can be reached at (843)248-1790 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At the time of contact the following information will be needed: type and model of bicycle; bicycle’s serial number (if known); color of the bicycle; and/or any other unique identifier that would only be known by the bicycle owner. Proof of bicycle ownership will be required prior to the release of any bicycle.

CONWAY POLICE SEEK INFORMATION
Conway, SC (July 17, 2007) – Conway Police Officers are looking for information on a suspect who they believed attempted to expose himself to a nine year old child. The child reported to police that while walking in the area of 9th Ave and Laurel Street around 2:20 pm on Monday, July 16, 2007 she was approached by a white male in a mid-sized gold in color 4 door vehicle, similar to a Pontiac Sunfire. The suspect asked the victim if she wanted to touch him and when she said no he asked if he could touch her; to which she said no. The child was able to walk away without further incident. The suspect never exited his vehicle. The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties with brown hair and a short mustache with a goatee style beard. Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to contact the Conway Police Department at 248-1790.

CONWAY POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS IN SHOOTING
Conway, SC (July 17, 2007) – Conway Police Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of 9th Ave and Hill St. in the city limits of Conway shortly after 4:00 this morning. Upon arrival, officers located a blue in color vehicle on the curb in front of a residence on Hill Street with its emergency flashers on. The vehicle was unoccupied and had several bullet holes in the front and back driver’s side doors. At approximately 4:25, Conway Police Officers received a call from a female at a residence on Maulden Street who stated she had been shot in the chest and that she and her husband had been the ones in the vehicle located by officers earlier. The victim and her husband reported to officers that they were operating the blue in color vehicle in the area of 9th Ave and Hill Street when they were flagged down by an unknown black male. The victim stopped the car in front of 713 Hill Street and the unknown black male attempted to reach in the vehicle so the victim attempted to drive away. As the victim was attempting to drive away another black male came from behind some trees and began shooting at the victim’s vehicle striking the driver’s of the vehicle multiple times and striking the victim in the chest. The victim was transported to Conway Medical Center for treatment. The victim underwent surgery to remove the bullet from her abdomen and is listed in stable condition at Conway Medical Center. The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 18 to 35, one wearing a white t-shirt. Anyone with any information about the shooting and/ or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact the Conway Police Department.

CONWAY POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING WEEKEND SHOOTING
Conway, SC (July 16, 2007)- An investigation is underway surrounding the shooting death of Jucqua Lena Fairwell, 49, of 1813 Apt#C Ernest Finney Drive Conway, SC. The incident took place at the residence of Fairwell on July 15, 2007. The results of a preliminary investigation indicate that the gunshot wound sustained by Fairwell was self-inflicted and the direct cause of her death. The investigation into this matter is on-going.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT/ G.R.E.A.T. GRADUATION
Conway, SC (July 13, 2007) – Conway Police Department will host a National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Conway Recreation Center located on Millpond Rd from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. A light supper will be served from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm and is free to all. Entertainment will also be provided. National Night Out is a night set aside that allows police officers and the public to come together and discuss issues in the various communities. It also allows the public to interact and get to know the officers who work in their communities.
Conway Police Department will be hosting their first G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) graduation on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 8:30 am in the cafeteria of Whittemore Park Middle School located on highway 378 in Conway. After the graduation ceremony, there will be a cookout and dance sponsored by DJ Tony D. The public is invited to attend.

CONWAY POLICE ARREST 3 MORE IN CONNECTION WITH YEAR OLD MURDER
Conway, SC (July 12, 2007) – Conway Police Officers charged Clinton Quinnard McCallum with two (2) counts of murder and one (1) count of armed robbery in September of 2006 in connection with the May 28, 2006 shooting deaths of Jose Vidal Concha Morales and Antonio Rodriguez that occurred on Second Avenue in the city limits of Conway. Additional investigation conducted by the Horry County Solicitor’s Office and the Conway Police Department developed three (3) additional suspects. Through the course of the investigation, investigators learned new information that led to the arrest of two (2) Conway residents and one (1) Sumter County resident. Tracy Sadowski of Conway has been charged with Accessory Before the Fact of Murder, Accessory Before the Fact of Armed Robbery, Accessory Before the Fact of Burglary 1st Degree, Accessory After the Fact of Murder, Accessory After the Fact of Armed Robbery, and Accessory After the Fact of Burglary 1st. Ernest Vereen of Conway has been charged with two (2) counts of Murder, one count of Armed Robbery, and one (1) count of Burglary 1st. Kenneth Smith of Sumter County has been charged with two (2) counts of Murder, one count of Armed Robbery, and one (1) count of Burglary 1st. All four (4) will remain in custody awaiting a bond hearing from a circuit court judge in the near future.
