Steps for Obtaining New Water & Sewer Service


  1. Contact Freddie DuBose, Public Utilities Director, at (843) 248-1770 for availability and a fee quote. The Public Utilities Department is located at 1700 New Road.
  2. Contact Karen Godin-Scott, City Planner, at (843) 488-9888 in order to determine if the property is in the city limits or is contiguous to the city limit. If your property is contiguous, annexation is required in order to receive city services. If your property is not contiguous to the city limit but is in the City of Conway service area you must obtain, complete and execute a restrictive covenant form in order to receive city services. The Planning Department is located at 206 Laurel Street.
  3. Payment of water and sewer fees can be made at the Finance Department which is located in the City Hall Annex located at 1001 2nd Avenue. The Finance Department phone number is (843) 248-1780.
  4. Following the payment of fees, a work order will be issued for any installations. Depending on the work load and weather conditions, new installations typically will be completed within 10 to 20 working days.
