Conway's giant moss-laden oaks, stately old homes and riverfront locale offer a unique setting for festivals and special events throughout the year.

 

  •   Summer Saturday Series - Historic Conway hosts ongoing activities along the riverfront during the summer.  For a detailed schedule, visit the Summer Saturday Series link below or contact the Conway Visitor Program at 248-1700.
  •   Quilt Fest - Held in February, the gala features quilters from North and South Carolina and is open to all quilters and viewers free of charge. Sponsored by the Horry County Museum. For dates and further information, call (843) 248-1542.
  •    Bluegrass on the Waccamaw - This event is held on the second Saturday in May, under the Main Street Bridge in historic Conway, from 1 to 11 p.m. Features top local, regional and international bands. Admission is free.   •   Riverfest - An American Celebration in the Independent Republic of Horry held the last Saturday in June. Featuring these special events: three stages of continuous entertainment with National Headliners; USTA Tennis Tournament; Senior Clubhouse, Antique & Classic Car Show; A Tribute to America; Business Expo; Arts & Crafts Show; Children's Games & Activities; Riverboat and Train Rides; Fireworks; Food and Fun!!!   •   Holiday Open House - For a special shopping experience, spend the first three Thursday nights in December in downtown Conway as carolers stroll the sidewalks and Santa's helpers serve hot chocolate and cookies to all.
