Conway, SC  – The City of Conway will partner with PalmettoPride to host a Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The event will be part of the Great American Cleanup 2018 to keep our community clean, and all members of the community are invited to attend. The Great American Cleanup is sponsored by Keep America Beautiful. People who are interested should meet under the shelter at the Billy Gardner Recreation Complex at 1515 Mill Pond Road at 8:30 Saturday morning. The event will last until noon, and lunch will be provided for those who participate. All supplies will be provided. Last year, the City of Conway had around 70 volunteers participate in this event. This is one of the many opportunities for members of the community to do their part because the City of Conway has made a conscious effort over the last few months to reduce the amount of waste along roads and in public spaces. The third Thursday of each month, members of the community meet with members of Conway City Staff and work together to keep Conway clean. The City has also added  incentive programs for businesses that recycle and has offered a free recycling program to all of its
