POLITICAL SIGNS - Political signs are signs announcing political candidates seeking public office, political parties, and/or political and public issues contained on a ballot. Political signs may be erected or maintained for a period not to exceed thirty (40) days prior to the date of the election to which such signs are applicable is scheduled to occur and shall be removed within seven (7) days following such election.
Per the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), Section 11.4.19, political signs for candidates seeking office are permitted forty (40) days prior to the date of the election. Candidates are responsible for following the sign ordinance.
Signs that violate the political sign ordinance will be removed and discarded. Illegal signs are punishable by $1,100 fine
