What is the cost of obtaining water, sewer or water and sewer from the City of Conway?
These prices are for a ¾ inch water meter and a 4 inch sewer service, unless a grinder pump is needed to provide sewer.
Cost of water only in the City Limits is $ 2,100.00.
Cost of water and 4” gravity sewer in the City Limits is $3,300.00, with water and a grinder pump station sewer $7,600.00.
Do I have to annex into the City to receive water or sewer from the City of Conway.
If the property that is wanting service is contiguous to the City Limits, it must annex to receive water or sewer services.
If the property that is wanting service is not contiguous to the City Limits, the property owner must sign and record a Restrictive Covenant which states that the property owner agrees at the time this property becomes contiguous to the City Limits, he/she will annex as a condition of utility service provision.
Do I have to pay all of the fees for water and sewer upfront or can I finance some of the cost?
Normally all fees are due before service can be installed.
After paying fees for new water and sewer services, what is the wait time for these services to be installed?
The normal time for a service to be installed after payment is received is from 10 to 15 business days. This time may be extended if weather or other conditions beyond the City’s control have developed.
What is the wait time for water or sewer repairs after a complaint is called in?
The time for repairs can vary. The repairs are taken in priority for safety and severity. Normal repair time is 4 to 5 days due to the locations of the underground utilities - telephone, electric, cable and gas.
Where does the City's responsibility end and the customer's begin for water lines?
The City’s responsibility ends at the meter box including the meter box. Customers are responsible from the meter box to the house

Why can't you rod the sewer line under my house?
The city uses a jet rodder to remove blockages from its large sewer mains. This rodder is operated by high water pressure and if run under your house, could cause sewer to blow back up in your house through your sinks and toilets.
If my meter is being read every month, why is there grass and dirt all over the meter?
Water meters are read electronically, therefore, staff normally do not have to pull the lid.
