Conway Police to Enforce No Overnight Parking in Riverfront and Marina Areas
CONWAY, SC (June 3, 2020) - During the last several months, we have seen an uptick in people living in their vehicles at or near the marina. The City has received multiple complaints about the misuse of public facilities in that area, including litter, vandalism, and public urination as a direct result.
In this week's Conway City Council meeting, City leaders voted to limit overnight parking from Second Avenue and Kingston Street to the Waccamaw River, with Elm being the western most street of enforcement (see attached map).
Prior consent of the City Administrator or the Chief of Police can be granted for overnight parking situations.
Enforcement will begin on June 10th.
