CITY OF CONWAY FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENTS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
CONWAY, SC (November 16, 2020) – The City of Conway is excited to announce the upcoming events that will take place in Conway this coming Holiday Season.
Conway Celebration of Lights will begin Thursday, December 3, 2020. Show hours will be from 6:00pm – 10:00pm, Thursday – Sunday. We know that this has been a challenging year and a lot of you can use some Christmas cheer, so this year there will be no admission fee.
You can enter the light show via 3rd Ave (next to Shelley‘s Seafood), turn left on Ash Pond Rd., and then left on Marina Drive.
Show Dates: The Conway Celebration of Lights will be open nightly through January 1, 2021. Santa's Village will not be open.

Under the Lights 5K and 1 mile Fun Run will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020. This night-time course takes runners along the beautiful Waccamaw River in Downtown Conway and along the Celebration of Lights Show route. The Race and Fun Run will begin at the Conway Marina at 6:00pm. We encourage runners to wear fun, festive attire for the costume contest. Registration is required. Rivertown Holiday Market is a local artisan and craft market to shop for unique, handmade gifts. The Rivertown Holiday Market will be held at the Conway Sports and Fitness Center, Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. There is no admission fee. Breakfast with Santa is your perfect opportunity to take a picture with Santa and have a delicious breakfast. Breakfast with Santa will be located at the Conway Senior Center (1519 Mill Pond Rd), Saturday, December 12, 2020, 7:00am – 9:00am, $5 per participant. Registration is required. Each participant will receive a photo with Santa and a full buffet breakfast. For more information and registration, visit www.conwayparksandrecreation.com.
Conway Christmas Tree Lighting will not be held as a public event due to gathering restrictions and COVID-19 precautions. The Christmas Tree will be located at 200 Laurel St. The City of Conway will release a pre-recorded video of the Christmas Tree Lighting for our residents to share with their families and friends via City of Conway, SC Facebook and the City of Conway TV Channel.
All indoor events will require temperature checks and the wearing of a face mask as a precaution to COVID-19. We ask that anyone who does not feel well, stay home.
