Mayor Declares June 5-11, 2022 Garden Week in Conway

At the June 6, 2022 city council meeting Mayor Barbara Blain-Bellamy declared June 5-11, 2022 National Garden Week in the City of Conway, SC. 

The Proclamation recognizes gardeners have a passion for nurturing the beauty and resources of the earth through the planting of seeds, the care of all plants and the riches of their effort. Gardeners seek to add beauty, splendor, fragrance and nutrition to our lives through the growing of herbs, vegetables, foliage and flowers.Gardeners work to preserve our country’s traditional spirit of independence and initiative through innovation and hard work.Gardening promotes a healthy lifestyle, helps reduce stress and teaches that rewards can come from diligent efforts.Gardening enables members of Garden Clubs across the nation and the globe to make a world of difference in the communities where they reside and work.

In an effort to acknowledge the importance of Gardening and the numerous contributions of the Conway Garden Club Council, the Azalea Garden Club, the Camellia Garden Club, the Iris Garden Club, and the Ivey Garden Club.
