A special election was held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 to fill a vacant City Council seat, a term that ends on December 31, 2023.
The City of Conway Municipal Election Committee met on Wednesday, June 14 to certify the election results. The following are the official Special Election results:

Candidates in this election had to receive minimum of 649 votes to win a seat outright. This number is figured by the total election votes (1297) divided by available council seats (1), and then dividing that result by two. (City of Conway Code of Ordinances Section Elections 1-8-3c2) Based on the official election results above, the vacant seat appears to result in a runoff election between A Benton (401) and K Brown (428).
The runoff election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 7:00am - 7:00pm.
