CONWAY, SC (July 13, 2023) - Conway Medical Center (CMC) and the City of Conway are excited to announce a new agreement to bring physical therapy and wellness services to the Conway Sports and Fitness Center. CMC is paying the City a total of $275,000 for an agreement that will last for the next ten years to support the City in expanding its Department of Parks and Recreation and offerings at the Center. The funding will be used to create potential wellness offerings for the community, including CMC's employees and patients. 

“We are incredibly excited to partner with the City of Conway,” said CMC President and CEO Brian Argo. “For 95 years, CMC has provided outstanding healthcare services to the people of Conway and surrounding areas. Conway is our home. We look forward to making these services even more convenient and building upon the great relationship we already have with the City.”  

Under the agreement, CMC will operate a CMC Physical Therapy Clinic inside the Conway Sports and Fitness Center on Millpond Road. The clinic, which will be open to CMC PT patients, will be nearly 2,500 square feet, and CMC will upfit and furnish the space as needed.    

“The City of Conway is thrilled to partner with CMC to offer expanded services that are more convenient for our residents,” said Conway City Administrator Adam Emrick. “We are also proud of the shared history of our two organizations and look forward to many more years of growing together.” 

CMC employees will enjoy a discounted membership rate to the Center. As the Wellness Partner of Conway, CMC will also work with the City on a variety of health and wellness venues and programs, including 5K races and other youth & adult sporting events.
