Students Hold First Mayor's Youth Council Meeting

Students at Conway High School began their first term on the Mayor's Youth Council. At their first meeting, students were sworn in by Mayor Barbara Blain-Bellamy.

The Mayor's Youth Council is an opportunity to be a voice for youth priorities and encourage active participation in local government. This program aims to bridge the gap between our young people and local government. Youth Council members will contribute to future projects and policy discussions while participating in city initiatives.

The Mayor's Youth Council consists of 10 sophomore-senior students who will gain firsthand knowledge of collaborating with City officials, City staff, and their peers. The program will help students gain leadership skills and develop a professional network. Students will meet monthly during the school year.
