During Fiscal Year 2001, the City of Conway created this new Department charged with beautification and maintenance activities for all City properties.

This Department, consisting of a Director and sixteen employees, performs landscape maintenance at historic City Hall, City Hall Annex, The Planning and Building Department, Public Safety Building, and the following Parks and special use facilities:  Collins Park, Crabtree Greenway, 4th Ave., Kingston Park, Kiwanis Track, Riverfront Park, River Walk, the Robert Mills Garden, Garden Walk, Sherwood Forest Park, and Smith-Jones Park. 

This Department also maintains public grounds at many intersections, downtown sidewalks, and other City-owned "open-space" lots as well as maintains Rose Hill and Lakeside Cemeteries.

The Grounds & Maintenance employees also assist with Conway’s numerous festivals and installs/removes the City’s Christmas decorations and seasonal banners throughout town.
