WHAT IS THE CITY OF CONWAY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN?
The Comprehensive Plan is a vision and roadmap that guides future growth and development in the City of Conway. The Plan guides decisions on where to build new jobs and houses, how to improve our transportation system, and where to make capital investments. Our Plan is the framework for most of Conway’s big-picture decisions on how to grow while preserving and improving our neighborhoods. In South Carolina, communities are required to prepare new Comprehensive Plans every 10 years. It addresses a wide range of topics that affect how we experience the City, including housing, economic development, community facilities, natural resources, cultural resources, land use, population, transportation, and priority investments. The Plan studies existing conditions and identifies implementation strategies to help the City reach its goals.
