Temporary Political Signs

Per the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), Section 11.4.19, political signs for candidates seeking office are permitted forty (40) days prior to the date of the election and must be removed seven (7) days following such election. Candidates are responsible for following the sign ordinance: 
-One sign per candidate/issue per lot 
-Signs may not exceed four (4) square feet and may be double sided. 
-Signs may not be placed in any public right-of-ways or in public spaces. Candidates/campaigns are responsible for seeking permission from private property owners to place signs on privately owned property. 

Signs that violate the political sign ordinance will be removed and discarded. Any one (1) sign violating this ordinance is punishable by fine.
